Community Is the Way: A Working Session for Community-Engaged Scholars

  • Online Philadelphia, PA USA (map)

I’m hosting a new online workshop for educators, researchers, and community collaborators who are looking to deepen their work—or bring a new idea to life.

Whether you’re refining a syllabus, imagining a new project, or shaping a community-based partnership, this 90-minute session offers space to reflect, connect, and move your work forward.

We’ll begin by exploring how Community Is the Way and the free Educator’s Toolkit can be used in undergraduate or graduate classrooms to spark meaningful conversations around equity, collaboration, and design. Then we’ll shift into workshopping your own ideas—whether you’re just starting out or already deep in the work. You’ll leave with practical tools, fresh insight, and a clearer path ahead.

What we’ll do together:

  • Explore ways to use Community Is the Way + the toolkit in your classroom or program

  • Hear real examples from community-based courses and projects

  • Share what you're working on

  • Workshop a few live examples together

  • Walk away with a downloadable quickstart guide

This is a space to build and refine your ideas—whether you're designing a course, developing a partnership, or imagining what's possible.
